Gynecomastia FAQ's

Gynecomastia, or man breasts, is often misunderstood by those who suffer with it as well as many others close to you. Here are a few of the most common gynecomastia FAQ's (I will be adding many more in the future as well.)

Q: What causes gynecomastia, or man breasts?

A: It can be from a number of different things such as:

  • Steroid use (this is quite common)

  • Obesity

  • Aging

  • Different medications with adverse side effects

  • Genetics

  • Puberty

  • Liver disease

There are other causes as well, but these are the more common ones.

Q: Are there any remedies in eliminating gynecomastia?

A: Yes, there are remedies available including ones that do not require surgery. If obesity is the cause of your gynecomastia, a weight loss program may eliminate the condition in many instances.

There is also one complete program that I can recommend that has helped a great many people get rid of man breasts. I won't go into it because its contents are too vast, but you can learn more by going to: How To Get Rid Of Man Breast Without Surgery

Q: How common is gynecomastia?

A: It has been estimated that 40-60% of all men have some varying degree of the condition. It is also the 5th ranked elective surgery that men have performed each year.

In my next post I will go into gynecomastia surgery and what you need to know.

Gynecomastia, or man breasts as it is also known as, is a serious condition for many men of all ages. It is also one that can be embarassing and lead to guilt and shame in extreme cases. So, what is gynecomastia and what brings the condition on in the first place?

Gynecomastia is a greek term for a condition in which men get unusally large breasts, or man boobs.

Gynecomastia generally occurs in early teenage boys who are in the puberty stage. The condition will almost always go away in 80-85% of all cases. Unfortunately, in 15-20% of the cases the condition worsens and will not leave on its own. When this happens it will need to be addressed more aggressively.
